The Industrial Revolution is a period where people went from an agricultural society to an industrial society, meaning since the refinement of the steam engine, the invention of the internal combustion engine, the harnessing of electricity and the construction of canals, railways and electric-power lines most jobs were in factories and all hand production methods were transited to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production. During the industrial Revolution women wanted to have rights, they wanted to be able to work and earn money just like men and after some of them did have the rights to work but not everyone were happy about that, especially men. The nineteenth century industrialization and urbanization had a lot of advantages for men but did it affect women’s status? Before World War I and World War II, women didn’t have many rights, during the war women gained the right to work in factories doing â€Å"men jobs† and after the war they got some o f the rights they were seeking like the right to vote and go to school. Before the Industrial Revolution, most jobs were hand labour jobs that required a lot of strength, so most women work domestic jobs or stayed home to look after the children. Increasing Airline Security Over the past five months, airline and airport security has been in the news almost daily. The events on and since September 11 have completely changed the viewpoints of many Americans, as well as the world, concerning airline security. Between the 18 suicide hijackers to Richard â€Å"the shoe bomber† Reid and the many other terrorists that lurk in the world, flying is definitely not as safe as it once was. I strongly believe that security in airports should be much more strict than it is now, even if it infringes on the people’s right to privacy. He held it toward me, and I took a long swig. The whiskey burned going down my throat, but I still craved more. It didn’t seem that any of the other soldiers were up for another hand.
